Kratom Is Everyone’s Cup Of Tea

Kratom tea is a popular beverage, especially in Southeast Asia, where it has replaced the daily consumption of tea and coffee because of its invigorating and energy boosting capabilities. This customary tea is prepared using the leaves of the Mitragyna Speciosa tree which contains alkaloids which are known to provide stimulating and sedative effects to the mind and body. The primary reason why tea is preferred to chewing the leaves directly is that it tends to diminish the bitterness.

  • Vigorous boiling for a long time of dried leaves with a little water can lead to preparation of a paste that can be stored for later use to prepare the tea. Some people, even consume pellets prepared from this paste by directly swallowing it, which eliminates the need to mix it with any other substance to surpass the bitter taste.
  • This recipe can obviously be used to prepare more or less quantity of tea by appropriately adjusting the quantity of water and powder or leaves used. One can also prepare enough tea for future use and refrigerate it for up to 5 days.
  • Another way to store it for longer periods is by combining it with alcohol. However, the effects that this combination will deliver might not be suitable for everyone and hence is not very strongly recommended, especially for the newbies.
  • When refrigerated, the alkaloid content tends to be settled at the bottom due to the density differences and to maintain the effects of the herb, the sediment should be boiled and re-dissolved.
